Christ United Methodists Church 3610 South 18th St. is having a Haunted Halls October 26 thru October 30. 5:30-7:30PM. Admission is 2 non perishable food items per person.This is for all ages. Donations go to food finders.

Prophetstown 5th Annual Trail of Scarecows

We Invite you to design and create Scarecrows promoting your community organization, club, activity, group, business or special event to be displayed along our paved bike trial. Prophetstown State Park welcomes thousands of visitors every year . . . • Do you want to share your mission? • Do you have a special event? • Do you make the tastiest __________? • Do you offer the best service and price? • Do you grow the biggest and best ______? • Do you have the area’s only ________? • Do you have the friendliest employees? • Do you want to have fun? . . . Get the word out with your Scarecrow and invite them to visit you too! The public will have a chance to vote for their favorite Scarecrows by “penny donations” supporting Prophetstown State Park Interpretive Services for Educational, Arts, Culture and History Programs. Prizes will be awarded for Scarecrows with the most penny votes. Encourage your customers, members and guests to visit Prophetstown State Park and vote for your Scarecrow! Entry forms must be received by September 30; Scarecrows must be installed by October 3. See attached brochure for entry form and rules, creative tips, and photos of 2013 Scarecrows. If you are unable to create a Scarecrow, please consider donating merchandise or gift certificates for contest prizes or gifting a monetary contribution for Interpretive Services programs.

Frankfort DECA "Set a Date to Donate"

Frankfort high school DECA kicks off "Set a Date to Donate" campaign to find backpack buddies for the 4th year. Frankfort DECA asks the community to Set a Date to Donate by making a financial or nonperishable food donation to DECA Backpack Buddies. DECA has a committed to providing easy to make, nutritious weekend snack bags to feed 150 Frankfort elementary students for 38 weeks. The goal of the set a date to donate campaign is to raise $10,830 in order to feed 5700 bellies during the 2014-2015 school year. Product the nations can be dropped off at Frankfort high school or financial donations came email to Frankfort DECA, 01 S. Maish Road, Frankfort, Indiana, 46041. Since August 2011, DECA backpack buddies has fed 13,384 bellies in the community schools of Frankfort. DECA start at Frankfort high school in August 2000. The Frankfort high school organization that helps marketing students become academically prepared and community oriented, provides leadership development, and teach a professional responsibility. Frankfort DE CA has had more than 100 students compete at the international DECA competition, and is donated over $50,000 through community service projects.
